Behind on your rent? Received a notice to quit?

There are 3 sources of rental assistance- State, City and WATCH. Learn more here.

¿Atrasado en el alquiler? ¿Recibió un aviso para renunciar?

Hay tres recursos de ayuda para el alquiler: el Estado, la ciudad y WATCH. Aprenda más aquí.

1 State Rental Assistance (RAFT ). This program is for $4,000 in rental assistance. WATCH can assist you in applying. The grant goes directly to the landlord. The application process could take 2-3 months.

2. Waltham City Fund – This program is for Waltham residents who have received a “Notice to Quit” from their landlord or an eviction notice from the Court. Payments are directly to the landlord for up to 3 months’ of rent. The application process generally takes 2-4 weeks to receive payment.

3. WATCH Tenant Assistance Fund – This fund is for Waltham tenants who have had income loss due to COVID and who owe more than $4,000 or who already got $4,000 from RAFT and still owe rent. Those who have a rental voucher or in public housing are not eligible. The application generally takes 2-3 weeks to process. The payment goes directly to the tenant as a grant.

Maintenance work orders are being responded to but residents must isolate in another room or outside their residence while emergency maintenance is performed.
